La FeeNoire - Welcome to Localventure

I'm really pleased to be able to add another new member to the site this afternoon, here's the full breakdown :

La Fee Noire Maternity
Proprietor: Rachel Bloom
Bio
La Fee Noire Maternity (The Black Fairy) was created by a mum-to-be, desperate to retain her own sense of style during her pregnancy. Finding it difficult to satisfy her need for funky and functional maternity clothing,  this Devon mum sought out stylish and alternative maternity wear for like minded yummy mummys.
As a business women working from home, The Black Fairy (La Fee Noire) was inspired by the birth of a baby girl who also required that a mum worked from home. So a true cottage industry (complete with thatch and sleeping dog at the door!) was created and has grown from strength to strength. The core business consists of a range of both High street and designer brand maternity clothes featuring petite to plus size maternity and everything in between. Whether size 4 or size 34 there is something offered to ensure every funky mum-to-be turns heads with her bump!
Two main objectives supported the creation of La fee Noire. The first being the aim to provide a range of maternity clothes wearable pre pregnancy, during pregnancy and after pregnancy! The cut and styling had to accommodate the changes experienced during these three stages. So Zipped Up maternity clothes was designed to suit the needs of all three stages in a woman’s life! Thus a favourite top could be used throughout all the seasons of womanhood!
Secondly and following a pregnancy sporting a particularly heavy bump, Rachel researched the market for a product to help relieve the symptoms of the debilitating condition SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) which affects up to 1 in 3 pregnancies. Like 80% of pregnant women she suffered back ache during the majority of the 9 months.
Other than those offered on the NHS (ugly, white truss style garments) there was nothing on the market that seemed to offer both support and comfort as well as the pretty looks of lingerie.
So  Hug-a-Bump® SPD Maternity Support Band was created and launched following stringent user trials over several months. The product now offers many expectant mums welcome relief from lower back pain and symptoms of SPD so often experienced in pregnancy. Offered in plain beige and also now pretty lace, this product is proven to be effective and allows the wearer to continue comfortable mobility.
