Progress report

Hi there

Well the blog has been up and running in what I'd term 'beta' format at the moment for about a week.

The initial launch included some blogger gadgets which didn't work and the site looked a little untidy. I've cleaned that up now and I think for a first go the site looks pretty ok and there is now some content and interest building.

We have two current clients live on the site :

www.prestigewhisky.com -  an exciting on-line whisky retailer
MCC Small Electricals - a quality electrical contractor based in Leeds

Plus we're in discussion with a number of others to appear in the (hopefully) near future. As there is no 'downside' (i.e. cost) to appearing most business owners seem keen. The problem is simply getting the copy and images from them to post.

In terms of traffic we had around 60 visits to this blog in the first couple of days, then it went a little quiet - at the moment we've had around 150 or so visits so we're currently averaging 30+ per day.

We have no 'targets' as such but I'd really like to push to get over the 50 visits per day mark to give our current clients some exposure and obviously help convince new ones that people will read about them here.

On Twitter we now have around 30 followers and I'm trying to ensure that as items go up here, we let our followers know about events asap.

Can we help your business ?

If you are a small business or would be entrepreneur we can probably help your business increase it's profile and help you secure a higher on-line presence.

Essentially we allow the business owner to advertise his business here on this popular blog for free. You can say whatever you like about your business - either to simply announce what you do or target specific customers or other businesses. In addition you can include images of your logo, products etc and then when things change or you have issues you'd like to cover simply drop us a note of what you have to say and we'll publish this as a guest blog with more info about your business.
